There are 2 parts to the Theory Test and both parts must be passed at the exam, each part of the test is done at a PC.
Part 1 Multiple Choice
The first Test consists of 50 multiple choice questions to be completed within 57 minutes. Some of the questions require 1 correct answer or 2 correct answers etc. Questions can be marked so you can return to them later to check the answer. Pass mark is 43.
Part 2 Hazard Perception Test
This tests your ability to respond to a developing hazard which is anything that causes you to change direction or speed. Emphasis is put on identifying the hazard during the early part of its development. There is atleast 1 developing hazard on each of the 14 video clips which use every day road scenes and one 1 video there is 2 developing hazards.
However each video will have several hazards but only one hazard is being marked so you will need to click the mouse each time you identify a hazard. Each clip is only seen once. The pass mark is44/75 as each hazard will be marked between 0 and 5.
